Quick answer
What are the main terms of Lacquerbay?
Lacquerbay rents Linux KVM VPS in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, paid from a prepaid crypto balance, without KYC. The seller is DomaineGoat LLC, registered in Panama; Panamanian law governs these terms and Panamanian courts settle disputes. Foreign copyright notices get no action. A breach of the acceptable use policy leads to suspension; money back follows the refund policy.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms of service (the "terms") apply to the Lacquerbay VPS service, to the website at https://lacquerbay.com and to the customer dashboard. DomaineGoat LLC, a limited liability company registered in Panama, sells and runs the service. Here, "we" and "us" mean DomaineGoat LLC; "you" means whoever holds the account.
Opening an account, topping up a balance or using a VPS means you accept these terms. Three policies form part of them: the acceptable use policy, the privacy policy and the refund policy.
2. Who may use Lacquerbay
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
- Residents and companies of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, mainland China, Yemen and Western Sahara, and of the occupied regions of Ukraine, cannot use the service.
- You may not appear on a sanctions list, nor act for a person or a company that does.
- You must have the capacity to enter a binding contract where you live.
3. Your account
An account number is your whole login; an email address is optional. No KYC: we ask for no identity document, no selfie, no card and no phone number.
- The account number works like a password: whoever has it controls the account, the balance and every VPS on it.
- The account number is the only key to your account, so keep it somewhere safe. An email on file lets you recover it; without one, a lost number cannot be restored.
- You answer for everything done with your account number, your SSH keys and any temporary root password we hand you.
- Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.
4. The VPS we rent
Linux virtual servers on KVM in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo: each VPS boots its own kernel, and you hold root over SSH. vCPU are shared: your virtual cores run on physical cores that other VPS on the same host also use. The memory and the NVMe space of your plan are set aside for your VPS alone.
- Plans: Ink $3.75 a month on a 12-month term ($5.35 month to month), Ember $4.49 a month on a 12-month term ($6.42 month to month), Vermilion $8.25 a month on a 12-month term ($11.78 month to month), Gilt $13.50 a month on a 12-month term ($19.28 month to month). Each plan's full specifications are on the pricing page.
- Cities: Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo: every plan in every city, at one price. Your VPS runs in a data centre inside the city you choose, on IP addresses registered to that territory (HK, SG or JP in the regional registry whois).
- Systems: Linux only, installed from our own images: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux. Windows is not offered. Images on offer: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10.
- Access: Root over SSH is yours. Paste a public key at checkout and password login stays switched off; leave the field empty and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, which you replace with passwd at first login.
- Management: Reboots, reinstalls and deletions are requested in the dashboard and carried out by a person; a reinstall wipes the disk.
5. Prices, rental lengths and payment
Prices are in US dollars and the same in every city.
- Lengths: Rent a VPS for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off). A longer length costs the monthly price times 3, 6 or 12, minus its discount, rounded down to the cent: Ember is $17.33 for 3 months, $30.81 for 6 months and $53.92 for 12 months. A renewal repeats the same length at the price of your order, unless you pick another length for the next renewal in the dashboard.
- Crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. USDT is accepted on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), Bitcoin on-chain only. Monero and Lightning are not accepted.
- Balance: you top up a prepaid balance, at least $25 at a time, and each rental is paid from it.
- Sending a payment: send the exact amount, to the address and on the network the payment page shows. A payment sent on another network may be lost. You bear the network fee of your own transaction.
- Every incoming payment is screened against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and money from a listed address is not credited.
- Price changes: a new price applies to new orders. A rental already paid keeps its price until it ends, and auto-renew repeats the price of your order.
6. Delivery
A person on the team builds each VPS by hand once your payment is confirmed, within 24 hours; the dashboard shows its progress, then the IP address. The paid time of a VPS starts when it is ready, not when you pay. If a VPS cannot be built, it is not created and its price stays on your balance, as the refund policy sets out.
7. Renewal, suspension and deletion
Each VPS is prepaid from your crypto balance for one, three, six or twelve months, the length you pick at checkout. Auto-renew charges the balance again for the same length at the price you ordered at, unless you set a different length for the next renewal in the dashboard. When the balance falls short, the VPS stops at the end of its paid time; its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.
- Renewing early: you may renew a VPS from the dashboard before its paid time ends.
- Changing length: you may choose another length for the next renewal; it is charged at that length's price.
- Auto-renew off: the VPS stops at the end of its paid time, and the same 7-day hold applies.
- Coming back: a renewal within the 7 days restarts the VPS with its disk as it was. After that, the disk is gone.
- Deleting: deleting a VPS ends it at once and erases its disk; the time left on it is not credited.
- Reinstalling: a reinstall erases the disk and puts the system you choose on it.
8. Your data and backups
Backups are not part of any plan: keep your own copies of whatever you cannot afford to lose. The data on your VPS is your responsibility, and so are its copies. No one can bring a disk back after a reinstall, a deletion or the end of the 7-day hold.
9. Network and email
- Every VPS gets one IPv4 address of its own and an IPv6 /64. Each plan states its monthly traffic in terabytes, counted on outbound data; traffic past that allowance is never billed automatically.
- Every plan sits on a 1 Gbit/s port shared with the other VPS of the same host.
- Outbound SMTP on port 25 is blocked on every VPS and is not opened on request; send mail through a provider on port 465 or 587.
- A VPS has data-centre IP addresses: we make no promise about how IP location databases, streaming services or other websites classify them.
- The IP addresses of your VPS may not be used for anything the acceptable use policy forbids.
10. Acceptable use
These terms include the acceptable use policy. Not allowed: spam or bulk mail, phishing, malware or botnet command servers, DDoS and other attacks, scanning or brute-forcing systems that are not yours, booter or stresser services, carding and other fraud, child sexual abuse material, cryptocurrency mining, and any service for sanctioned people or companies. Tor relays may run on any VPS: exit relays as well as middle relays and bridges. You answer for what runs on your VPS and for anyone to whom you give a login on it.
11. Applicable law and copyright complaints
Lacquerbay is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, a company formed in Panama, and Panamanian law is the only law the company answers to. Each data centre sits under the law of its own territory: Hong Kong, Singapore or Japan. DMCA notices and other foreign copyright complaints are not acted on: only Panamanian law and the orders of Panamanian courts bind us.
Only an order of a Panamanian court can make us hand records over. The privacy policy lists the records that exist. We do not log connections, traffic or the IP addresses of visitors and customers, on the website, in the dashboard or on the VPS.
12. Suspension for a breach
We suspend a VPS in two cases only: its paid time ends without a renewal (section 7), or it is used in a way the acceptable use policy forbids.
Copyright complaints under foreign law get no action; Panamanian law and Panamanian court orders are what count. Spam, phishing, malware, botnet control, network attacks and child sexual abuse material are banned, and a VPS used for them is suspended. A suspended VPS shows as suspended in the dashboard. A VPS suspended for a breach gets no credit for its remaining time; the refund policy covers only the cases it names. To contest a suspension, write to [email protected] with the order reference and the IP address of the VPS. You may stop using the service at any time by deleting your VPS.
13. Availability
We do not promise a level of uptime. Maintenance, the data centre network and events outside our control can interrupt a VPS. No DDoS mitigation is promised beyond what the data centre network filters by default. When a VPS stops running and support cannot bring it back, the days lost are credited to your balance. We may add or withdraw plans, cities and systems for new orders; a rental already paid is not changed.
14. No warranties
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that a VPS fits a particular purpose, that a given website or service accepts its IP address, or that IP location databases place it in a given country.
15. Liability
To the extent the law of Panama allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost data. For any claim, our total liability is capped at what you paid for the current rental of the VPS concerned. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that Panamanian law forbids us to limit.
16. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the acceptable use policy, you cover our reasonable costs and losses.
17. Law and courts
These terms, and the service provided under them, are governed by Panamanian law, the law of the Republic of Panama. The courts of Panama alone decide any dispute about them.
18. Changes and language
We may revise these terms. The date at the top marks the version in force; a revision applies from that date to new orders, renewals and continued use. The terms are written in English, and the English text prevails over any translation.
19. Contact
- Support: [email protected]. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, including help with SSH keys, reinstalls and firewall rules.
- Abuse reports: [email protected].
- Refer to an order reference (ORD-…) or the IP address of a VPS, never to your account number. The contact page explains what to include.
