Quick answer

How do I order a Lacquerbay VPS with crypto, from payment to SSH?

At Lacquerbay you top up a balance in crypto (minimum $25), order a plan for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo, and a person builds the VPS within 24 hours of the confirmed payment. As of 2 November 2026, plans start at $3.75 a month. You then log in as root with your SSH key or a temporary password.

How do I open an account?

There is no signup form to fill in. An account number is your whole login; an email address is optional. You never choose a user name, and no step asks for a name, an address or a phone number. That is less common than it sounds: of the 31 hosts selling VPS in these cities that Lacquerbay checked on 2 November 2026, 18 take crypto with no ID at signup, and several of those still write down when they ask anyway (which Asia VPS hosts ask no ID, and when).

The account number is the only key to your account, so keep it somewhere safe. An email on file lets you recover it; without one, a lost number cannot be restored. Nobody from our team will ever ask for your account number, your root password or your private SSH key, by email or in a chat.

How do I pay in crypto?

You pay into a prepaid balance, then order the VPS from it. The balance is in US dollars and renews any VPS on the account.

  1. Top up $25 or more

Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.

  2. Send it to the address shown, on the exact network

The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.

  3. Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”

Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.

  4. Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain

Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

    CryptoNetworkConfirmationsUsual time
    BTCBitcoin2≈ 20 min
    USDTTron (TRC-20)20≈ 1 min
    USDTEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    USDCEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    ETHEthereum12≈ 5 min
    SOLSolana1≈ 1 min
    LTCLitecoin6≈ 15 min
  5. Order your VPS

Choose a plan, a rental length, a city, a system and your SSH key (or none, for a temporary root password), and the top-up is set to the price of that length. Once the payment is confirmed, a person builds your VPS within 24 hours and its IP address appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

Who builds the VPS, and when is it ready?

A person on the team builds every VPS; nothing is created by a script the moment you pay. A person on the team builds each VPS by hand once your payment is confirmed, within 24 hours; the dashboard shows its progress, then the IP address. At checkout you pick the plan, the rental length, the city and the Linux system: Debian 13, Debian 12, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, AlmaLinux 10, Rocky Linux 10.

Your VPS runs in a data centre inside the city you choose, on IP addresses registered to that territory (HK, SG or JP in the regional registry whois). The paid time starts when the VPS is ready, not when you pay.

Do I need an SSH key?

No, but a key is the safer way in. Root over SSH is yours. Paste a public key at checkout and password login stays switched off; leave the field empty and the team sets a temporary root password, shown in your dashboard, which you replace with passwd at first login.

With a key, log in with ssh root@YOUR_VPS_IP from the machine that holds the private key. Without one, the temporary password is shown masked in your dashboard; log in with the same command, then run passwd and, ideally, add a key and switch password login off. Nobody at Lacquerbay ever needs your private key.

What can I do from the dashboard?

Reboots, reinstalls and deletions are requested in the dashboard and carried out by a person; a reinstall wipes the disk. The dashboard also shows the IP addresses of each VPS, its city, its next renewal date and price, and lets you change the rental length of the next renewal.

vCPU are shared: your virtual cores run on physical cores that other VPS on the same host also use. The memory and the NVMe space of your plan are set aside for your VPS alone.

What happens when the rental ends?

Each VPS is prepaid from your crypto balance for one, three, six or twelve months, the length you pick at checkout. Auto-renew charges the balance again for the same length at the price you ordered at, unless you set a different length for the next renewal in the dashboard. When the balance falls short, the VPS stops at the end of its paid time; its disk is held for 7 days and then erased.

Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it. The refund policy lists the cases in which days come back to your balance.

What does Lacquerbay keep about me?

Only what billing and running the VPS need: the account number, an optional email, each top-up and order, and the settings of each VPS. The full list, with how long each record is kept, is in the privacy policy.

We do not log connections, traffic or the IP addresses of visitors and customers, on the website, in the dashboard or on the VPS.

No KYC does not make you invisible: each payment stays on a public blockchain, our records tie your account number to your orders and VPS addresses, and the data centre network carries your VPS traffic.

Which law applies, and how are abuse reports handled?

Lacquerbay is operated by DomaineGoat LLC, a company formed in Panama, and Panamanian law is the only law the company answers to. Each data centre sits under the law of its own territory: Hong Kong, Singapore or Japan.

DMCA notices and other foreign copyright complaints are not acted on: only Panamanian law and the orders of Panamanian courts bind us. Tor relays may run on any VPS: exit relays as well as middle relays and bridges.

Spam, phishing, malware, attacks and child sexual abuse material stay forbidden on every VPS, and a VPS used for them is suspended. Reports go to [email protected]; the acceptable use policy and the terms of service give the details.

What does Lacquerbay not do?

  • No instant setup: a person builds each VPS, within 24 hours.
  • No backups: Backups are not part of any plan: keep your own copies of whatever you cannot afford to lose.
  • No outgoing port 25: Outbound SMTP on port 25 is blocked on every VPS and is not opened on request; send mail through a provider on port 465 or 587.
  • No DDoS promise: No DDoS mitigation is promised beyond what the data centre network filters by default.
  • No China-optimised routes: We do not sell China-optimised routes such as CN2 GIA or CMI: every VPS leaves on ordinary international transit.
  • No free trial: There is no free trial: the smallest plan, Ink, is $5.35 for one month, or $3.75 a month on a 12-month term.
  • No uptime percentage: we publish none. If a VPS stops and support cannot bring it back, the days lost are credited.

How it works: common questions

When will my VPS be ready after I pay?

Not instantly. A person on the team builds each VPS by hand once your payment is confirmed, within 24 hours; the dashboard shows its progress, then the IP address.

Can I order without an email address?

Yes. An account number is your whole login; an email address is optional. The account number is the only key to your account, so keep it somewhere safe. An email on file lets you recover it; without one, a lost number cannot be restored.

What if I lose my private SSH key?

Ask for a reinstall from the dashboard with a new public key; the team installs it. A reinstall wipes the disk, so keep copies of your data.

Can I switch from a monthly to a yearly rental?

Yes, for the next renewal: change the length in the dashboard and the next renewal is charged at that length's price.

DomaineGoat LLC answers to Panamanian law; only an order of a Panamanian court can make us hand records over.
