When days come back to your Lacquerbay balance, how they are counted for a 1- to 12-month rental, and the one part of a top-up that can go back to a wallet.

**Quick answer — Does Lacquerbay give refunds?**

Yes, in two cases. **Lacquerbay** credits lost days to your balance when a VPS cannot be built, or stops and support cannot bring it back, each day counted at its share of the rental you paid. A balance never expires. The part of a top-up added only to reach the $25 minimum can go back in USDT or USDC within 30 days. Asking needs no KYC.

## 1. When are days credited back?

In two cases, and no others:

- **The VPS cannot be built**, for example because the city you chose stopped taking new servers before your payment was confirmed. No VPS is created, and its whole price stays on your balance.
- **The VPS stops running and support cannot bring it back.** Every lost day returns to your balance at its daily share of what you paid: the price of the rental divided by its days, so one thirtieth of the monthly price on a 1-month rental, and the same kind of share of a 3-, 6- or 12-month price.

The table applies the rule to common situations.

| What happens | What you get |
| --- | --- |
| You order Ember for one month at $6.42, and Tokyo stops taking new VPS before your payment is confirmed | No VPS is built. $6.42 stays on your balance for another order, in another city or later. |
| Your Vermilion on a 1-month rental ($11.78) runs 10 days, then stops, and support cannot fix it | The 20 lost days are credited: 20/30 of $11.78. |
| Your Ink on a 12-month rental ($44.94 for 365 days) stops after 300 days and cannot be fixed | The 65 lost days are credited: 65/365 of $44.94. |
| You delete your Gilt halfway through a 6-month rental | No credit. Deleting a VPS ends it together with its remaining time. |
| Your VPS sends spam and is suspended | No credit. A suspension under the acceptable use policy is not a refund case. |
| Auto-renew is off, or the balance is short, when the rental ends | The VPS stops; its disk is held 7 days, then deleted. Nothing more is charged and nothing is credited. |

## 2. Where do credited days go?

Once support confirms the case, the credit is added to your Lacquerbay balance in US dollars. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your VPS. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

The balance pays for any plan on the [pricing page](https://lacquerbay.com/pricing/ "Lacquerbay plans and prices"), in Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo.

## 3. Can any part of a top-up go back to a wallet?

One part can: the amount added only to reach the $25 minimum top-up. Ask within 30 days of paying and, if it is still unspent, it is returned in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is paid out only where the law requires it.

That part exists because of how an order is priced: the top-up covers what your balance lacks, but never less than $25. When the gap is smaller than the minimum, the extra lands on your balance, and that extra is what can come back.

| Top-up | Returnable in USDT or USDC |
| --- | --- |
| $25 for one month of Ink at $5.35 | $25 minus $5.35, if asked within 30 days and unspent. |
| $25 for one month of Vermilion at $11.78 | $25 minus $11.78, on the same conditions. |
| More than $25 for that same order | Still $25 minus $11.78 at most: only the part up to the minimum counts, the rest is ordinary balance. |
| A top-up with no plan in the order | Nothing: no part was added to reach a minimum, so all of it is balance. |
| Any top-up, asked about 45 days after paying | Nothing: the 30 days have passed. The amount stays on your balance and never expires. |

## 4. How do I ask for a refund?

1. **Email support** — Write to support@lacquerbay.com with "Refund request" as the subject, from the address on your account if it has one.
2. **Point to the payment** — Give the order reference (ORD-…) and the transaction ID (TXID) of the payment. Leave your account number out: the team never needs it, nor your root password or private key, to look into a refund.
3. **Say what you claim** — For lost days, give the IP address of the VPS and describe the fault. To claim the minimum top-up part, add a USDT or USDC address and name its network.
4. **Wait for the answer** — A member of the team replies by email, usually within 12 hours, and says whether the days are credited and how many.

## 5. What cannot be refunded?

- Balance from top-ups, apart from the minimum part of section 3 or where a law requires a payout.
- Remaining time on a VPS you delete, whatever its rental length.
- Remaining time on a VPS suspended under the [acceptable use policy](https://lacquerbay.com/acceptable-use/ "What may and may not run on a Lacquerbay VPS").
- Data lost when a disk is erased: after the 7-day hold, a reinstall or a deletion. Backups are not part of any plan: keep your own copies of whatever you cannot afford to lose.
- Network fees you paid to send crypto.
- Any payment sent from an address on a sanctions list. Every incoming payment is screened against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and money from a listed address is not credited.
- Coins sent to a wrong address or over a wrong network: a blockchain transfer cannot be reversed.

## 6. Is there a free trial?

There is no free trial: the smallest plan, Ink, is $5.35 for one month, or $3.75 a month on a 12-month term. Nothing is charged to set a VPS up: you pay the price of the rental length you chose, at the first order and at each renewal. Credits follow section 1 only, so check a plan's vCPU, RAM, disk and traffic before you pay; the [pricing page](https://lacquerbay.com/pricing/ "Lacquerbay plans and prices") lists them all.

## 7. Can a crypto payment be charged back?

No. A confirmed blockchain payment cannot be pulled back, so there is no chargeback for crypto. This policy is the only route to a credit or a payout, and every request goes by email to support@lacquerbay.com. It forms part of the [terms of service](https://lacquerbay.com/terms/ "Lacquerbay terms of service").

## 8. Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy. The date at the top marks the version in force, and a revision applies to payments made from that date.
