**Quick answer — How much does a VPS cost per month in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo?**

According to **Lacquerbay**'s Asia VPS Price Index of 2 November 2026, a 1 vCPU / 1 GB / 20 GB VPS from a crypto host that asks for no ID cost $7.50 a month at the median in Singapore, $11.50 in Tokyo and $13.74 in Hong Kong; the least expensive were $5.00, $6.00 and $6.99. The index covers 1,139 prices from 35 hosts and 5 mainstream clouds; Vultr and Linode list $5.00 in Singapore and Tokyo.

## The index in four numbers, 2 November 2026

- **1,139** prices read on the hosts' own sites
- **31** hosts selling a VPS in at least one of the three cities
- **18** of them take crypto and ask for no ID at signup
- **12** had a comparable plan on sale that day

## What does a VPS cost per month in each city, size by size?

**By median, Singapore was the least expensive of the three cities at every size, and Hong Kong was never the least expensive by either measure.** Each row takes one plan per host, its least expensive comparable plan of at least that size. Comparable means: crypto accepted for the VPS, no ID document at signup, an IPv4 address included, payable month to month, shown in stock, at least 1 TB of traffic a month on a port of 100 Mbit/s or more, and no China-optimised route.

## Where does Lacquerbay sit in the index?

**Lacquerbay publishes this index and also sells VPS in the three cities, so its prices sit in their own table and are not counted in any median.** Every plan costs the same in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo. Each price was set against a named plan sold in one of the three cities on 2 November 2026: Singapore for Ink, Vermilion and Gilt, Tokyo for Ember.

### Lacquerbay prices, shown apart from the index

| Size | Lacquerbay plan | Month to month | A month on a 12-month term | Traffic a month |

| 4 vCPU / 8 GB / 160 GB | Gilt | $19.28 | $13.50 | 4 TB |

## How was the Asia VPS Price Index built?

**Every price was read on 2 November 2026 on the host's own public pages, with no account, no order and no payment.**

- **Coverage:** 35 hosts and 5 mainstream clouds.
- **Pool:** 18 hosts accept crypto for a VPS and ask for no ID document at signup, with the evidence noted for each. 12 had a comparable plan: Servury, Servers.Guru, KoDDoS, VSYS Host, Ultahost, MonoVM, 1Gbits, is*hosting, WebHorizon, GreenCloud, HostDare, ExtraVM.
- **Comparable plan:** IPv4 included, month to month, not a first-term promotion, shown in stock, KVM or not stated, at least 1 TB a month, a port of 100 Mbit/s or more when stated, no China-optimised route, no managed or panel bundle.
- **Sizes:** minimum vCPU / RAM / disk, five steps from 1 / 1 / 20 to 8 / 16 / 320.
- **Left out:** 103 rows sold on China-optimised routes; WebHorizon's "Singapore" plans, which its own knowledge base places in Johor, Malaysia ([how to check where a VPS is located](https://lacquerbay.com/check-vps-location/ "Is my Singapore VPS really in Singapore, and how can I check where a VPS is located?")); plans shown out of stock; SurferCloud plans on a 30 Mbit/s port; prices taken from archives rather than the host.
- **Currency:** USD; 1 EUR = 1.1172 USD (ECB reference rate of 30 October 2026).

## How often is the index updated?

**The prices are re-read about once a month, and each table carries the date of its reading.** No date is promised for the next reading. Hosts change prices, stock and promotions between readings, so a figure older than a month is a guide to the market rather than a quote.

## Asia VPS prices: short answers

### What is the median price of a VPS in Singapore?

On 2 November 2026 it was $7.50 a month for at least 1 vCPU / 1 GB / 20 GB and $24.99 for 2 vCPU / 4 GB / 80 GB, across crypto hosts with no ID check. Vultr and Linode list $5.00 for 1 GB in Singapore.

### Is a VPS more expensive in Hong Kong than in Singapore?

Yes, at every size in the 2 November 2026 reading. The median 1 GB plan cost $13.74 in Hong Kong against $7.50 in Singapore. Vultr, DigitalOcean and Linode have no Hong Kong region at all.

### Why are Vultr and DigitalOcean not in the medians?

The medians cover hosts that take crypto and ask for no ID at signup. The mainstream clouds are listed in a separate table, read the same day, for reference.

### Are these prices before tax?

Vultr, DigitalOcean, Lightsail and Hetzner state their prices before tax. For the other hosts, the index records the monthly price shown on the order page, without going through checkout.

### Does Lacquerbay count its own prices in the index?

No. Lacquerbay prices are in a separate, labelled table and take no part in any median. Each plan costs the same in all three cities, from $3.75 to $13.50 a month on a 12-month term.
